Urban Outdoors: Common Scenes in Vancouver

It was a fairly cloudy day with some sunny breaks at times.  Peaceful stroll.  Fresh air.  A great way to wind down the end of a beautifully long summer.  Starting from the Burnaby Sports Complex, I took a counter-clockwise route to the eastern end of the lake and ended up near Piper Spit, one of the best vantage points to relax and take in the scenery (Map).

Burnaby Lake Park is just east of Vancouver and is accessible by a quick bus ride from the nearby SkyTrain stations.

1. A relaxing stretch in Burnaby Lake Park 2. Ready…Take off! 3. Bulgy eyes of a common pigeon 4. Late summer colours 5. Crossing at Piper Avenue, Burnaby.
